We didn&#;t go as long as we normally go for episodes because Yaroslav was literally about to go on stage to an audience in Berlin.
So we got about 35 40 minutes with him and I thought it was worth it. The book is excellent if you&#;re looking for some good reading about the conflict and about both the heroism of Ukraine&#;s defense but also the significant cultural and societal changes that have happened in Ukraine in such a small amount of time.
His book does a really good job shining a light on all of that. I found the book to be very optimistic about Ukraine&#;s prospects and Yaroslav, as you&#;ll hear on the podcast, is very optimistic. I&#;m a little pessimistic based on how things have gone recently, but he makes a compelling case that the long term picture looks
